5 Incredible INFJ Strengths - The Rarest Personality Type
Known as the rarest and often the most misunderstood personality type of the world,   it’s true that the INFJ has their struggles finding their place in this world, but they also possess incredible personality core strengths that not many others can relate to that make them extremely unique. Welcome or welcome back Rediscovermind! Today we’re going to be talking all about the 5 strengths of the often misunderstood INFJ.

Number 1:

Always willing to help others  You would think that because all humans have feelings, we would all live by the rule of treating others how you would want to be treated - however, for most people this act is actually much easier said than done. The INFJ, however, is very different from the rest of the world with one of their amazing strengths being their inner obligation to help people who need help. In fact, a crucial aspect of true INFJ happiness is working to empower others in some way,   shape, or form. Whether it be a life calling to become a teacher, counselor, or coach - or set up a non-profit to help an organization - INFJs are idealists who use their drive to make the world a better place as the center focus of the majority of their major life decisions. Plus, INFJs also have the incredible ability to write inspirational words and analogies that allow people to better understand their situation from another perspective.   They are able to effectively communicate with passion and warmth that draw others towards them with full trust - one of the many INFJ gifts that give them the name of being the counselor or the advocate. This makes the help they are craving to give much more effective on people because it is usually filled with intuitive insights, optimism, and encouragement - the 3   things most people need more of in their lives.

Number 2:

Uncanny observation Another incredible strength that all INFJs possess is their amazing auto-pilot observation skills and a keen eye for detail. Not only do INFJs notice key details within their surroundings and environments, but they especially notice the little details about people they come in contact with. Besides the fact that INFJ is intrigued by human behavior which prompts them to want to pay extra attention while analyzing the people around them, the INFJs extraverted sensing and extraverted feeling functions, also contribute to their observational strengths in a major way. These functions drive INFJs to automatically observe everything without even realizing that they’re really doing it. For example, people-watching is one way that INFJs can actively use their observational abilities and study human nature without having to actually interact with people. While they aren’t always fully aware of how many things they’re really observing about a person or situation, INFJs pick up on information that may give them insights later on. In fact, so many people claim that the INFJ has psychic qualities because of their ability to simply ‘knowing things’ through their introverted intuition when in reality a lot of their knowledge comes from their constant subconscious absorbing of information around them,   which naturally gives them a deeper meaning of their world and people around them. Not to mention, these observational skills only strengthen as an INFJ gets older!

Number 3:

Natural empathy is one of the more obvious, and commonly discussed strengths of the INFJ personality type is their natural empathy for others. Serving as the root to their need to help humanity, INFJs hold a seemingly involuntary empathy towards others which allows them to actively feel and mirror the emotions and energies of the people around them. Not only does this amazing gift allow INFJs to directly experience what another person is going through by easily putting themselves in other people’s shoes, but it also allows them to intuitively feel when someone is being dishonest or disloyal. Whether they feel the fear of someone who is hesitant to speak up for themselves or the nervousness in someone being purposefully conniving, this introspective personality type can feel when things don’t add up. However, although the INFJ can see people for who they truly are, their empathetic strengths encourage them to still only see the best in people. In fact, there are times when the INFJ   is capable of seeing the viewpoint of someone they dislike, or someone who may appear distrustful to outsiders because they can put themselves in their perspective and envision what made them behave a certain way. This can quickly become a slippery slope that may cause an INFJ to become blindsided from their intuitive red flags because they are so focused on seeing the good in someone.   Therefore, INFJs need to be sure to set boundaries around this empathy strength because since they are so bombarded by the emotions of others, INFJs can feel like their life mission is to understand other people which leaves them with little to no space to really understand themselves.

Number 4:

Incredible creativity dancing, sketching, instrument playing,   painting, singing, you name it. INFJs have a natural creative flow that allows them to excel in whatever their chosen creative outlet. The complex inner workings of the INFJ mind allow them to come up with an influx of creative ideas whenever they’re needed. For an INFJ to actively take time out of their day to practice creative outlets of any sort is a great way for them to ground themselves and free their minds without totally shutting out their overactive thought processes.   By using their perfectionism and a keen eye for detail, INFJs can easily become hyperfocused on their creative task, producing amazing pieces that they themselves will probably never really see the true beauty of. Yet, it takes a unique set of imaginative qualities to produce the same level of creativity that INFJs are able to project. In fact, for this sole reason, it never comes as a   surprise to learn that J.K Rowling - the author of Harry Potter is a known INFJ personality type.  Aside from creative passions, INFJs are able to effectively combine their vivid imagination and a deep sense of passion to resolve human challenges with creative ease. This counselor's personality type is able to use their creativity when seeing situations from different perspectives,   giving them insights and understandings that others would easily overlook. In other words,   INFJs are able to solve complex emotional and social issues because of their imaginative problem-solving skills - a strength that so many people turn to INFJs to use.

Number 5:

Quick & efficient learners last most powerful strength of the INFJ   is that they never stop learning. Whether it be picking up a new book, observing different social situations, exploring new territory, or learning a new skill, the INFJ strength of wisdom and a need for learning is like a gift that keeps on giving. Because INFJs feel discontent when they remain stagnant for too long, they are continuously seeking out new information or diving deeper into a topic or situation that they’re already interested in. They are always questioning the things in life that others would mindlessly accept for what they are, which sends most INFJs on a lifelong mission to understand the things in this world that sometimes don’t require understanding.   However, for an INFJ, it’s not all about finding the answers to these questions,   but rather enjoying the journey of expanding their knowledge of the topics they’re interested in.  And this isn’t to say that INFJs spend their days with their nose in a book. While this may be relatable for some of these introverted types, INFJs actually have an adventurous side that when fueled by passionate curiosity, can lead them to some of the most interesting findings. Whether they travel long distances or feel the curiosity to explore a neighboring town,   they will follow where their curiosities take them because they can’t help but remain curious.   So, whether it be going out and experiencing their curiosities for themselves, or researching their wonders through books and blogs - the INFJ needs to be constantly harnessing information to ease their curious nature - a strength that allows them the success and knowledge they’re known for.
